MANILA, Philippines — Over 30,000 individuals in Calabarzon (Cavite, Laguna, Batangas, Rizal, and Quezon) were moved to evacuation centers in the region due to the effects of Severe Tropical Storm Kristine (international name: Trami), according to police.
Data from Police Regional Office 4-A (Calabarzon) on Thursday showed that 30,932 individuals, or 9,097 families, were already transferred to 402 evacuation centers.

Authorities reported zero deaths, injuries, or missing persons in Calabarzon as of Thursday afternoon.

Article continues after this advertisementThe severe tropical storm was last spotted in the vicinity of Bauko, Mountain Province, carrying maximum sustained winds of 95 kilometers per hour (kph) near its center and gusts of up to 160 kph.
Kristine is expected to exit the country’s area of responsibility by Friday (October 25) afternoon.
